Ingredients:

4 cups

cherries
1/4 cup

cornstarch
2 tablespoons

lemon juice
8 servings

puff pastry
6 drops

red food coloring
1/4 teaspoon

salt

sugar
1 cups

water

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch and salt.

  2. Add the cherries, water and lemon juice. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

  3. Remove from the heat; stir in food coloring if desired.
