  3. Combine blueberries and raspberries in a food processor and puree. Push through a fine strainer and whisk into sugar syrup.

  4. Whisk in lime juice.

  5. Pour berry mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze for 2 hours.

  6. Just before serving, place ice cubes in clean work bowl of food processor. Pulse until evenly ground but not yet liquefied, about 10 2-second pulses. Spoon into 6 dessert bowls and serve immediately.

Wine Pairing :

  • cream sherry
  • moscato dasti
  • port

Cream Sherry, Moscato d'Asti, and Port are my top picks for Granita. A common wine pairing rule is to make sure your wine is sweeter than your food. Delicate desserts go well with Moscato d'Asti, nutty desserts with cream sherry, and caramel or chocolate desserts pair well with port.
