aged balsamic vinegar

black pepper
1/4 cup

extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup

fresh basil leaves

heirloom tomatoes

sea salt


  1. Rinse and slice the tomatoes into 1/2 inch thick wedges and place them on a large plate or serving platter.Sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper.

  2. Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the tomatoes.Tear the basil leaves with your hands and sprinkle on top.Taste for seasoning and add more salt, pepper or vinegar if necessary.

  3. Serve at room temperature with fresh burrata cheese to accompany if you have it.
